BR1-04: The hare and the tortoise

Once upon a time, there are a hare and a tortoise. (p.3)

I like this story because I can sympathize for the tortoise. As you see, I can't run fast. In particular, I hate to run a marathon. However, I never walk while the marathon even if it is hard for me. My friend, Kenta, likes marathon. I can't agree with him at all.

BR1-03 Puss in Boots

There was a poor miller, who had three sons. (p. 5)

I like this story because the cat in this story is very clever.
Actually, I liked dogs better than cats. However, these days, I like cats, in particular fat cats. I think that fat cats is cuter than thin ones. I had a dog once, but I don't have any pets. So next time, I want to have a cat which is clever like the cat in this story.

The trip to Shikoku

I went to Ehime prefecture last weekend. It was so fun, but I was tired because it took us seven hours to arrive there by car. It was Dogo Onsen, a hot spring, that refreshed us who was exhausted. Dogo Onsen is the traditional spring which is registered as a cultural property. I recommend to you that you go there someday.

My treasure E2

I would like to talk about my treasures. I have a lot of physical things that I can regard as treasures.
I come to school by car. The car, which I received from my parents, is one of my treasures. I can go everywhere even if I cannot go by train or bus. I have even visited Aso in my own car with my friends. If we had climbed up Mt. Aso on foot, we would have been very tired. However, as we climbed up by car, we were not drained.
Another treasure is a letter from my old friend. When I was an elementary school student, I had a close friend. His name was Kenta. I used to play with him after school. Although we often had a quarrel with each other, I was on very good terms with him. One day, however, he had to move abroad because his father was a diplomat. On the day when he left Japan, I saw him and shook hands with him. Then he gave me a letter. I was happy because I had never got any letters from him. After I went back home, I read his letter. The letter said that he also thought I was the closest friend in his friends. Since he has gone to a foreign country, I haven’t gotten in touch with him. However, I believe we will be the best friends forever.
I talked to you about physical treasure, but my best treasure is my memories. I am twenty years old now. I had a lot of experience, especially in school. I have had so many friends in school. I sometimes hang out with them. Every time I hang out with them, I get good memories. I think the memories are the very invaluable treasure.

We make brief responses while listening

I often make brief responses while listening, so-called "Izuchi".
However, I have a few vocabularies of Izuchi. When I agree with someone, I always say "Yeah, me too."
I don't have another phrase when I do so.
Because I learned the phrase, "So do I", I will use this phrase.

BR1-02 : The Dragon Painter

Once upon a time, there was Chang in China who was a famous painter. (p. 3)

I like this book. This is a fancy story in China. A painter who is famous in China drew a picture of the dragon. The dragon on the picture emerged as a real dragon. Then, the painter came up with an idea and sealed up the dragon. I like this story because it is very exciting.

My GW

I went to Kirishima, Kagoshima, because I wanted to go to a certain restaurant to eat Jidori, or chickens.
The restaurant which I've been to is a famous restaurant, Miyama. I love the Jidori because it's so juicy. Try to eat Jidori at the restaurant, and you would be impressed by the taste.

BR1-01: The Musicians of Bremen

Once upon a time, there was a very mean man. (p. 3)

I like this book. This book is about a combined effort. Although a robber broke into a house, animals; a donkey, a dog, a cat, and a rooster, cooperated with each other and booted out the robber. I learned the importance of the cooperation. I think that we can't live by ourselves.

Dear my friend

Dear my friend

Hello! My name is Yuki K. I am a twenty-year-old man living in Kumamoto, Japan. I go to the Prefectural University of Kumamoto. I belong to the department of English language and literature. I study the novels of America and Britain and cognitive linguistics every day. What do you study?
After graduating from this university, I want to be an air-traffic controller. An air controller is the ideal job for me because I like to watch airplanes. When I was a child, I used to go to the airport to watch them. At that time, my mother said to me, “The air-controllers who can speak English fluently when they communicate with pilots are so cool.” Since then, I have been interested in this job. Now I am impressed by their sense of responsibility. They must not make a mistake during their communication, for if they made a mistake, it means that a lot of people would die. It is certainly a hard work, but I think it is cool. So I want to be an air controller. What would you like to be in the future?
By the way, what are you interested in? Movie, music or sports? One of my interests is traveling. The most favorite place that I have visited is Okinawa, Japan. Do you know Okinawa? Okinawa, a tropical island, has beautiful sky, sea and scenery. I cannot look at the scenery without being impressed by it. I always refresh myself when I go there. Do you have such a good location where I can look at great scenery? If you have, please take me there. Besides, I am looking forward to the dishes in your country. What do you recommend? I like everything but shellfish.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Sincerely

YUKI
